Scotland and Northern England Workshop in Applied Microeconomics

The inaugural Scotland and Northern England Workshop in Applied Microeconomics will be held at the beautiful Crieff Hydro Hotel on 19-20 April 2022.  Participants should be affiliated with a Scottish or northern English university.  

Professor Lindsey Macmillan (University College London and Director of Centre for Education Policy and Equalising Opportunities) will deliver the keynote address, entitled “Inequalities in Opportunities Across Childhood and Beyond.”

Professor Nils Braakmann (Newcastle University) and Professor David A. Jaeger (University of St Andrews) chaired the selection committee.

The conference will run from 11 am on 19 April to 2 pm on 20 April and include lunches on both days,  dinner on 19 April, and breakfast on 20 April as well as accommodation. 

The Applied Microeconomics Group has generously subsidized the workshop.
