Scotland and Northern England Conference in Applied Microeconomics

Papers from all areas of applied microeconomics are welcome. Completed papers will be preferred over extended abstracts. Submissions are welcome from individuals affiliated with any institution within or outwith the United Kingdom.  Approximately 22 papers will be accepted, with 2/3 from presenters affiliated with Scottish and Northern English institutions (north of the 54th parallel).

Professor Nils Braakmann (Newcastle University), Professor Lindsey Macmillan (University College London), and Professor David A. Jaeger (University of St Andrews) form the programme committee.

To submit a paper, click here. The submission deadline is 23:59 on Thursday, 15 February 2024.  Decisions on submissions will be announced on or before 8 March 2024.

The conference will run from 11 am on 7 May to 3 pm on 8 May and includes lunches on both days, dinner on 7 May, and breakfast on 8 May.

Conference fees are £400, all inclusive, for all participants except graduate students.  A subsidized rate of £200 is available for graduate students.

Accommodation is for sole occupancy of a standard double room. Additional guests may be added for a fee of £10 (including breakfast on 8 May).  Please contact David Jaeger ([email protected]) prior to registering to arrange for double occupancy rooms.  Additional nights can be arranged by contacting Adèle Stewart ([email protected]) at Crieff Hydro directly and mentioning that you are a participant in the SaNE conference.
